Sculpture on Shore Trip

Fortunately the rain and wild weather held off long enough for us to enjoy the Sculpture on Shore exhibits. We really enjoyed ourselves and seeing all the various interesting displays and what they were made of. In the background of this picture the artist used thousands of coloured lunch containers that made interesting sounds when the wind blew. The origami bird in front of us was also a highlight and it wasn't made of paper. We would like to thank Angela Temata from Harcourts for sponsoring us and helping us with seeing this wonderful show!

Sumdog Challenge - Daily Leader!

Superb work Room 13 as we top the leaderboard today and look to be top class !

Fantastic effort and teamwork Room 13 as we are now second place in the Sumdog Auckland North Maths Contest! We have made wonderful gains today and we can see what you can achieve when you work together. You can also see that we are not far from first place with one day left!

Sumdog Challenge - Last Day Results...so far!

Remember today is the final day of the Sumdog Auckland North Challenge and so far we have achieved the following:

Maggie is 5th place overall (out of 1 211 students) - Yay!

Sunnybrae has moved up two places and we are now 4th overall on the leaderboard today (out of 29 schools).

We have already won a daily award.

We have also done very well today... the final day of the contest...placing 3rd so far!

Maggie is Number 4 ... in Sumdog Challenge!

I couldn't believe that I made it into the Top 10! Not just the top 10, the top 5 with 944 out of 1000 points. As I made it into the 900's the questions got harder. Some of the maths questions were related to algebra and factors....Yikes! The person that came 5th must of been disappointed that she was one point behind me! It will be really hard for others to beat me (I think/I hope). The contest ends tomorrow so I hope my score holds!
